Shri Puneet Agarwal, vice-chairman of the MIET Group of institutions , is a Civil Engineering graduate from one of the prestigious Institutes of Technology, BHU, now known as IIT, BHU. He has done his PGDM from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He holds a rich experience of 24 years with multinational, Indian corporates, PSU and consultacy firms and also in diverse industries including Power and Power Equipment, Textiles, Retail, Education and IT. The areas of his strong exposure consist of Sales & Marketing, Engineering Design, Operations and Corporate Finance. He has shown unalloyed dedication for invigorating the educational progress of students. His vowed mission is to enlighten and vitalize the pedantic capabilities of the young minds and widen the horizons of their thoughts and feelings in all the three educational campuses of higher learning under the MIET Group namely:

Established in the year 1997, the MIET Group has more than 60 acres of land spread across the three campuses encompassing good roads along with many huge trees, nice pedestrian walkways, gardens etc. in Utter Pradesh as well as Uttrakhand. A number of technical courses are being delivered in all the three campuses in affiliation to the state technical universities while non-technical courses have affiliation to the state universities respectively.The MIET Group has affiliations to Dr. Abdul Kalam Technical University (Lucknow); Chaudhary Charan Singh University (Meerut); Uttarakhand Technical University (Dehradun); and Kumaon University (Nainital). The institutions have been approved by the concerned statutory bodies such as All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Board of Technical Studies (Lucknow), Pharmacy Council of India and National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE). Currently, the Group employs around 1,000 staff members working with more than 6,000 students.Under his leadership, MIET has got B++ accreditation under the latest guidelines of NAAC. Selected courses of MIET have also been accredited by NBA and others are going in for accreditation after due diligence and immense planning. In academics, the institute has been ranked by reputed agencies in different independent surveys. To augment the delivery capabilities of Faculty of the MIET Group, the Faculty members are being trained on the latest technologies. A concept of T3 “Train the Trainer” is being followed, where selected faculty members get trained and then in turn they train other faculty members. A minimum resource pool is being created in each technology and then regular classroom trainings are organized during the semester and breaks, which is followed up with development and execution of projects on live problem statements collected from industry and society.
